Description: In the Spring of 2014, I was invited to create the sets for a new production of Shakespeare's Cymbeline produced and presented by the Waking Theatre. The Waking Theatre's "Cymbeline" is an immersive staging of Shakespeare's little-known feminist epic following two lovers' journeys from idealized to realistic love in the mythological American landscape of the Western. It features Art Moss, Chris Leck, Chris Necker, Cliff Nunley, Jason Love, Jeff Irlbeck, Joe Feliciano, Ned Baker, Susan Fay, Walls Trimble, Nate Buursma, and Heather Jencks. The music was written and performed by Zane Ranney, Roxy Swain, and Chelsea Fiddyment. It was Directed by Julia Locascio and Claire Redfield, Assistant directed by Meghan Coppoletti, Produced by Margo Ruter. Stage Managed by Sarah McCadam Burger, and Production Managed by Beth Zupec. The Dramaturgy was by Carling FitzSimmons, the Fight Choreography by Alex Tey, Scenic Design by Walker Thisted, Costume Design by Barbara Little, Lighting Design by Daniel Chapman, Sound Design by Bradford Chapin, Prop Design by Rachel Watson, and Technical Direction by Jeff Irlebck.
